I’m Maxine, and I provide holistic, calming treatments from my peaceful, home-based salon in Linslade, Leighton Buzzard – or, if you prefer, in the comfort of your own home with mobile appointments available within a 15-mile radius.
I specialise in reflexology – a deeply relaxing, non-invasive therapy that stimulates reflex points in the feet to support the body’s natural healing processes. Every session is tailored to you, taking into account your physical, emotional and energetic well-being.
I offer a wide range of treatments, including fertility reflexology to support those on their conception journey, maternity reflexology to nurture mothers-to-be, and baby reflexology and toddler reflexology to gently support little ones as they grow. Every client is unique, and my approach reflects that. I work holistically and intuitively, aiming to create a safe, nurturing space where you feel seen, heard, and supported.

My journey into reflexology began after I received a treatment myself for stress relief. During a consultation, I shared that I’d previously had an ectopic pregnancy and had taken hormone treatment for my first child, but I wasn’t taking any fertility medication at the time of the reflexology. The reflexologist worked on my hormonal and pelvic reflex points, and just a month later, I found out I was pregnant!
That experience had such a profound impact on me that I knew I wanted to share this powerful therapy with others. I decided to retrain while my children were young, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Previously, I worked in the corporate world, but creating The Sole Room gave me the chance to balance meaningful work with family life. Since then, I’ve continued to learn and grow, adding massage, ear candling, and specialist fertility reflexology, maternity reflexology, baby reflexology, and toddler reflexology to my practice.
I genuinely love what I do. Meeting people, listening to their stories, and helping them feel better is a true privilege. I believe in treating every client as the unique individual they are, and my aim is always to support your journey towards better health and balance, in body, mind and spirit.
